What is VPN?
VPN is a technology provided with all Qual-IT servers that allows remote workers to be connected to your business via the Internet. With this technology you are no longer a prisoner within your office - you can literally work in real time with your colleagues from anywhere.
Now team work really comes into its own, staff in different locations work as if they were sitting together. Changes to inbox, sent items, calendars and contacts, Microsoft Office documents, databases and any other files are seen by everyone as soon as they happen and there is no more duplication of information or guess work.
This technology can also be used to set up "virtual offices" whereby staff mostly work from home and you do not have the overheads involved with an office premises. You can even bolt on a professional telephone system so that incoming calls can be picked up by staff at various locations, and outgoing calls go via the Internet at low cost.
